A scheme, co-produced with greenroom enabling emergent artists to develop a small piece of work in a supportive environment, shown in parallel with a more established Performance Space piece.SeedFund artists to date have included: Karen McLeod, Gemma Neep, Trace Theatre and Ehsan Gill. 2011 will see the largest crop of SeedFund to date including new offerings from Chris Fitzsimmons, Martin O’Brien and Nicola Singh, Sian Williams, Darren White, Mary Eddowes and Matt&Nate.
New in 2010, emergency’s Merseyside cousin - a co-production with the Bluecoat and greenroom A day of performance, installation and intervention in and around the Bluecoat’s spaces allowing space for more durational and installation based work.
Method Lab is a long running project, co-produced with greenroom, offering a series of small commissions, space, support, mentoring and a showcase to a number of artists selected from emergency.Amongst the artists who have participated over the years are: Qasim Riza Shaheen, Juliet Ellis, Ben Faulks (Johnothan Pram), Angel Club North, Until Thursday, Sam Rose, Nic Green, Annette Foster, Krissi Musiol, Chris Fitzsimmons and Leentje van de Cruys.Look out for the 2011 showcase featuring Levantes Dance Theatre and Kings of England.
Started in 2009, Turn aims to offer opportunities to North West based dancers and dancemakers.Co-produced with greenroom and Dance Initiative Greater Manchester Turn is now in its third year and has already shown some 50 extraordinary pieces of new dance work, resulting in two Turn Prizes to the GEF House Experiment and Joseph Lau, a further greenroom commission to Pavlos Kountouriotis, and a regional Turn Out tour of pieces by 8eyes, Maelstrom Dance and Resonance Dance.

emergency, the annual open platform for contemporary performance, live art and intervention is now in its 12th manic year. Taking place at greenroom, Manchester, every October, forty short pieces are crammed into a free sampler round-up of what’s going on around the UK. From the bold to the beautiful, the contemplative to the downright bonkers, we look for short, technically simple pieces with some live presence and low key durational work to take place in the open spaces.The call for proposals goes out in July with a mid August deadline each year - see main mailing lists for detail or go to greenroomarts.org/emergency

In Transit was regional touring project produced by hÅb on behalf of LANWest (Live Art North West) - an informal network of promoters and producers comprising Alsager Arts Centre, Bluecoat Arts Centre, greenroom, hÅb, Leeds Met Gallery & Studio Theatre, Matrix Arts Project, Nuffield Theatre, University of Central Lancashire. Future developments are planned to start in 2010
